Prosecutors have launched a preliminary investigation on Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi after he was accused of rape by a woman, according to authorities. The alleged victim, a 24-year-old woman from Fontenay-sous-Bois (Val-de-Marne), reportedly went to the police station over the weekend to report the incident but refused to officially file a complaint. However, the prosecution took over the case due to the severity of the allegations and the notoriety of the accused.
According to Le Parisien, the woman met Achraf Hakimi on Instagram on January 16, and the two began to communicate. On February 25, she went to visit Hakimi in his home in Boulogne, arriving via an Uber he ordered for her. But, things quickly got out of her control when Hakimi allegedly kissed her on the mouth, lifted her clothes, and kissed her breasts against her will. She also claimed he digitally penetrated her without her consent.
The woman reported that she freed herself by kicking him off and then contacted a friend who came to pick her up. As a result of the sexual assault allegations, Hakimi was not allowed to play in the OM-PSG match on Sunday evening in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône).
