Prince Harry reveals final words he whispered to his grandmother, late Queen Elizabeth II

Harry claims that he whispered to his late grandmother that he “hoped she would be happy” and that she would be with his late grandfather, Prince Philip, who had passed away a year earlier at the age of 99, in his contentious autobiography “Spare.”

Regarding her participation in The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations that summer, Harry also claims in the book, which will be published on Jan. 10, that he told her he “admired her for having fulfilled her duties until the very end.”

The Duke of Sussex goes on to describe how he left his late grandmother’s room at Scotland’s Balmoral and called Markle to inform her that he had arrived safely.

Notably, Prince Harry arrived at Balmoral Castle a few hours after the Queen passed away on September 8 at the age of 96.

Exclusively at the time, Page Six revealed that the red-headed royal had not received word of his grandmother’s passing from any members of the families of palace officials, but rather from the news.

When Harry learned that Markle’s health was deteriorating, he hurried to be by her side while they were both in Germany promoting the Invictus Games. Harry, however, arrived too late and was unable to bid the Queen a final farewell.

He and his wife did, however, attend the Queen’s 10-day period of mourning. For the first time since March of that year, Harry and Markle were seen publicly reuniting with William and Middleton to pay tribute to the Queen outside Windsor Castle after she passed away.

We were informed at the time that William had invited his estranged brother and wife.

A royal source exclusively told Page Six, “We are all very grateful – both sides putting all things aside for the Queen.

Since Harry and Markle left the royal family in 2020 and relocated to California, where they now live with their two children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, tensions between the brothers have been high.

While their reunion appeared to offer a chance for them to work things out, Markle and Harry have since given several interviews about William and other royal family members that leave little room for reconciliation.

In his new memoir, Harry makes a number of claims, one of which is that William physically assaulted him after they argued about Markle. He asserted that wearing a Nazi uniform to a costume party in 2005 was motivated in part by the Prince and Princess of Wales. William was also referred to as his “beloved brother and archnemesis” by him.

In his book, Harry also criticized his father, King Charles III, alleging that the monarch told Princess Diana on the day Harry was born, “Now that you’ve given me an heir and a spare, my work is done.”

But Charles insists that he has made an effort to mend fences with his younger son. The Duke has declined to confirm whether Harry and Markle will be present at King Charles’ coronation, despite the couple reportedly being invited.

The palace informed Page Six that it would refrain from commenting on any claims made in the book.
