Prince Andrew pictured chuckling as he encountered a female jogger

The Duke of York, Prince Andrew, was seen chuckling during his encounter with a female jogger on his way to his weekly horse-riding trip in Windsor. The prince was driving his black Range Rover and was captured slowing down for the runner while beaming at her. In another photo, he was seen pointing to something in the distance with a more sombre expression.

It has been an eventful week for Prince Andrew, with reports claiming that his brother, King Charles, offered him the keys to Frogmore Cottage after evicting the Sussexes from the five-bedroom home.

However, Prince Andrew refused to leave his current home, the 30-bedroom Royal Lodge in Windsor, after finding out that the King is planning budget cuts to royal funds. He even offered to run some of the Royal Family’s estates, including Balmoral Castle, as part of his negotiations to leave his Royal mansion.

Sources claim that he pleaded with the King for an increased Royal responsibility, feeling that he deserves to be treated like a senior royal. However, the King rejected his request.

In recent weeks, the King has asked all members of the Royal Family to anticipate less money from the Duchy, which is now owned by Charles. Despite telling his friends that he fears he will be unable to afford the upkeep of his mansion if the King cuts his £250,000-a-year grant, Prince Andrew currently pays a reported £250-a-week for a state-subsidised 30-room mansion complete with 98 acres of land and a swimming pool. He is not keen to leave it after 20 years.

During his horse-riding trip today, the Duke of York was also photographed with a huge smile on his face while riding alongside his grooms.
