President Joe Biden said Americans should pay higher gas prices for ‘as long as it takes’ as he doubled down on blaming Russian President Vladimir Putin for the United States’ domestic woes

On Thursday, President Joe Biden continued to blame Russian President Vladimir Putin for the country’s problems at home, saying that Americans should be forced to pay higher petrol costs for “as long as it takes.”

In a news conference following the NATO meeting, Biden addressed the high gas costs Americans are paying at the pump and the nation’s record-high inflation, while arguing that other countries are experiencing even higher prices.

And he vehemently claimed that under his leadership, America is not regressing.

Abortion, gas costs, and the economy were the main topics of Biden’s press conference.

When asked how long Americans will be forced to spend nearly $5 per gallon at the pump, the president responded, “As long as it takes.” Gas costs an average of $4.857 a gallon.

He maintained that it was essential to aid Ukraine in fending off Russia.

As he has done numerous times before, Biden pointed the finger at Russia’s conflict in the Ukraine. When discussing the high prices Americans are paying for food and petrol, charges that have contributed to significant inflation, he refers to “Putin’s price rise.”

Ultimately, he claimed, Russia, Russia, Russia is to blame for the rise in gas prices. Russia’s refusal to let grain leave Ukraine is the source of the current food crisis, according to the country.

In spite of evidence to the contrary, the president asserted that other nations have higher rates of inflation.

“Almost every other nation has higher inflation. Prices are rising across the board practically everywhere.

We are now in a better position to handle this. We still have work to do, he remarked.

“Our economy is the strongest in the world.” He claimed, “Our inflation rates are lower than those of other countries in the globe.

While prices have been growing all over the world, for the majority of the year, the United States’ inflation rate has been higher than that of China and the G7 countries.

With an all-time high of 8.6 percent, the United Kingdom has just just exceeded US inflation.

But when it comes to costs, countries like Germany, France, Japan, and Canada are all still behind the United States.

The United States’ inflation rate has been rising steadily beyond that of all other countries, according to data from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development from April 2021 to April 2022.

We are adamant about bringing inflation back down. And we’re moving quickly to do it,” stated Biden.

When questioned about Americans who believe their nation is regressing under his leadership, he became irritable.

According to a recent Associated Press-NORC Center poll, nearly 85% of American adults believe that the nation is moving in the wrong way.

They don’t believe it, he said, adding that you haven’t found a single world leader to claim that America is turning around.

The standing of America in the globe is better than it has ever been.

Voters frequently criticize Biden’s management of the economy, citing high petrol prices as one of their top concerns.

Many Democrats are concerned that the unrest among voters may harm their party in this November’s midterm elections, which will determine which party controls Congress.
