French President Emmanuel Macron says he is ready for dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin whenever necessary

Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, declared he was prepared to speak with Vladimir Putin whenever it was necessary.

Emmanuel Macron is prepared to speak with Vladimir Putin if necessary.

Macron emphasized that he speaks with Putin more frequently than his American counterpart Joe Biden during the press conference that followed the NATO meeting in Madrid.

He left the possibility of future discussions with the Russian president open.

If the intensity of our conversations with the Russian president varies, that is normal, added Macron.

“I always speak openly with Putin and keep in touch with my allies and partners in Europe, including [Ukrainian President] Volodymyr Zelensky.

Because I think that this is France’s obligation, I will always engage in these conversations when it is appropriate, said Emmanuel Macron.

It should not be used to attack Russia with French weaponry in Ukraine.

Macron also emphasized that Russia should never be attacked with the weaponry that Paris sent to Kiev.

“We will continue to equip and train within the current operational framework: never assault the Russian Federation’s territory, but assist in defending the territory of Ukraine and supporting its army,” Macron added.

Macron had before stated that NATO nations would increase their financial, humanitarian, and military support for Ukraine.

He claims that the alliance has resolved to extend the French military contingent’s eastern flank; Paris will send a new brigade to Romania.

Russia was formally acknowledged as the biggest danger to the security of the North Atlantic Alliance in a new strategic concept endorsed by NATO member state leaders on June 29.
