The Nigerian Presidency has revealed the reason for President Muhammadu Buhari’s recent spiritual journey to Saudi Arabia.

According to Garba Shehu, the President’s spokesperson, Buhari made the trip to express gratitude to Allah as he prepares to hand over to his successor, Bola Tinubu.

Shehu explained that Buhari was in the Holy Land to thank Allah for the successful eight years he has served his country.

He stated that Buhari’s visit to the Holy Land was to thank Almighty Allah for the success of his administration over the past eight years.

The President was accompanied by some of his aides and visited Madinah, where he toured some historical religious sites, including the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilisation.

During his visit to the Museum, President Buhari emphasized that the dissemination of true knowledge of Islam is the most important task currently facing global Muslims.

The President’s visit to Saudi Arabia has raised some questions, particularly regarding the timing of the trip, as the country prepares for a new administration.

Nonetheless, the official explanation from the Presidency is that the trip was a spiritual one to show gratitude to Allah for the success of his administration.
