President Buhari approves the reconstitution of the Membership of the Governing Body of NADC

The National Anti-Doping Committee’s (NADC) Governing Body has been reconstituted with the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari to oversee operations for the next four years.

This is in response to the outgone members’ four-year term expiration on January 8, 2022, and in order to ensure that Nigeria’s sports remain drug-free and that Nigeria maintains a clean worldwide record in the struggle against drug abuse.

Due to the recent anti-doping crisis, which exposed the country’s frail national anti-doping administration to unwanted attention, the reconstruction of the new body has become necessary in order to improve the anti-doping structure.

The members of the Anti-Doping Body approved by Mr. President are as follows:

  1. Professor Kenneth Anugweje
  2. Dr Femi Ayorinde
  3. Barrister Emmanuel Omuku
  4. Dr Godfrey Odigie
  5. Alhaji Mainasara Ilo
  6. Dr. Akinlotan Olusegun
  7. Omolewa Aduke
  8. Representative of NAFDAC
  9. Ms Fadeke – CEO, Anti-Doping Unit/Secretary
