The opening and relocation of 50 new Poundland outlets will generate up to 500 new employment.
The expansion plans call for the Pepco-owned discount retailer to open 500,000 square feet of extra shop space between now and September.
The company has announced the opening of eight additional locations between this month and March, with another six stores in the final stages of lease talks.
The largest Poundland store ever to open in Glasgow will debut in March.

Stores in Newport, Llantrisant, and Rotherham will be relocated beginning next month and continuing through March.

In 2023, we will intensify our hunt for the greatest locations to deliver the best of Poundland to customers across the United Kingdom, as a result of this transition.
We will continue to work diligently to find locations that are suitable for the variety of Poundland models we presently offer, from neighborhood convenience stores to huge destination stores.
