Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Olalomi, widely known as Portable, has made a claim that he declined an invitation to perform at President-elect Bola Tinubu’s inauguration concert.
According to Portable, he turned down the offer due to suspicions that some individuals intended to exploit him financially.
He alleged that his manager was contacted and informed that the agreed fee for his performance was N10 million, but he would only receive N5 million.
Incensed by this, the street pop artist tore up the invitation and deleted their contacts.
Portable called on Tinubu to intervene, as he believed that people were attempting to take advantage of him.
The singer insisted that he should have been the star of the event, considering his unwavering support for Tinubu.
He expressed his frustration and called for assistance from Tinubu to address the issue of being exploited.
Top Celebrities Attend Tinubu’s Inauguration Concert
On a different note, numerous notable Nigerian celebrities attended the inauguration concert of President-elect Bola Tinubu on Thursday night.
The ‘Renewed Hope Concert’ took place at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja and aimed to celebrate Tinubu’s inauguration.
Prior to the concert, Tinubu and Shettima had been honored with the titles of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic and Grand Commander of the Order of Niger, respectively, in a ceremony held in Abuja on Thursday.
The event attracted a significant number of Nigerians and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with Tinubu and Shettima in attendance.
The crowd was entertained by various performances from numerous musicians, creating an atmosphere of excitement as attendees danced and celebrated.
Prominent celebrities present at the concert included Eniola Badmus, Seyi Law, Umar Sheriff, Wande Coal, Naira Marly, Fireboy, 9ice, Asake, Timaya, and many others.
