For the first time this Thanksgiving, fast-food company Popeyes will deliver its pre-cooked Cajun-style turkey to customers’ homes for $95 plus tax.
Since 2001, customers of the New Orleans-style restaurant have been able to buy the well-liked Thanksgiving turkey, which is marinated in Louisiana seasonings.
For the first time this year, the turkey may be delivered right to your home.
However, the luxury will come at a cost; picking up a turkey from a Popeyes location will be less expensive; it will start at $50 and cost less than half as much.
The price of the turkey has increased overall due to avian flu and inflation. As a franchise, Popeyes locations’ costs might change, although the Cajun-Style Turkey began at $40 as of last year.
Popeyes’ decision to make this change was inspired by the fact that many customers in previous years desired their specially seasoned and prepared turkeys but were unable to get them.
‘Our Cajun-Style Turkey is a favorite among our guests, but not all Popeyes locations carry it. More guests now have the option to purchase the Cajun-Style Turkey thanks to its online availability, the firm said on its Cajun Fix website.
Nevertheless, the majority of restaurants still sell turkeys on site, although it’s advisable to make a reservation.
Popeyes, a restaurant known for its fried chicken and biscuits, claimed that their turkey is hand-rubbed, precooked, and seasoned with “zingy Louisiana-style spices.”
It is available for purchase on the website, and orders will begin to be sent on October 24. Delivery times range from one to three business days.
Alaskan and Hawaiian residents cannot use the program.
Prior to reheating, the turkeys will need to be thawed. The renowned side dishes from Popeyes, such as mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and biscuits, won’t be sold online and must be purchased from restaurants.
According to Popeyes, the turkey will serve eight to twelve people.
According to the National Turkey Federation, Americans consume 46 million turkeys worldwide on Thanksgiving.
