Police in Utah release the footage of a four-year-old boy shooting at police to prevent the arrest of his father

Police in Utah, the US, have released video that reveals the terrifying moment a four-year-old kid fired on officers who were attempting to arrest his father.

Police were summoned after Sadaat Johnson, 27, brandished a gun at McDonald’s employees in Salt Lake City for allegedly getting his order wrong, according to various US media agencies.

In the beginning of the footage, officers are seen attempting to drag him out of his car by force.

Police added in a statement that as they approached the car, the driver “refused numerous verbal demands to evacuate the vehicle”.

The individual was removed from the car by officers after they unlocked the door.

An officer looked back toward the car after apprehending the individual and noticed a revolver sticking out of the back window.

According to ABC4, a cop cries “Gun!” just before a single shot is fired as they wrestle the boy’s father to the ground and tie him.

“Drop the gun,” one of them can be heard shouting.

Another officer is in a battle stance and is aiming his firearm at the people in the car.

Another person adds, “It’s just a kid.” You alright, kid?, a female cop can be heard saying. The youngster was clearly upset and weeping.

The youngster was also with his sister, who is three years old.

Johnson allegedly “brandished a pistol at the employees” at the time after receiving “an incorrect order in the drive-thru.”

He has been accused by the police of abusing children, violently assaulting someone, and interfering with an arresting officer.

Although the horrifying incident happened in February, the video was just recently made public.

According to criminal documents, the youngster allegedly informed officers that he took the rifle because “he wanted his daddy back.”

Johnson allegedly added, “The police officer cannot enter the door,” during the confrontation, the child also reported to the police.
