This afternoon, a man’s corpse was discovered in the River Thames, and police began an inquiry into his ‘unexpected’ demise.

At Chichester Wharf in Erith, police pulled a man’s corpse thought to be in his 40s from the sea.

Although the individual has not yet been named, police are attempting to do so and let his family know.

After learning that there was a corpse in the Thames, police and emergency personnel arrived at the location.

The guy, who is said to be in his 40s, was discovered on Sunday afternoon near Chichester Wharf in Erith. In order to remove the corpse, police and medical personnel arrived at the site.

Police were summoned to allegations of a corpse in the water at Chichester Wharf in Erith at 16:53 on Sunday, August 28, according to a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman.
