Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang robbed in Barcelona

Barcelona – According to media reports, armed thieves came into the home of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Barcelona on Monday and physically abused the player and his wife while forcing them to open a safe in order to seize jewelry.

El Pais said that both the player and his wife, Alysha Behague, had minor injuries. Aubameyang, 33, has not verified any robbery details.

It is the second time in the past two months that Aubameyang’s home in Castelldefels, a suburb in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, has been burglarized, although the player and his family were not present during the first incident, according to police.

Monday, four masked individuals reportedly came into his home and threatened the player and his family with firearms. They assaulted Aubameyang and his wife and compelled them to unlock a safe so they could seize jewelry.

Last night, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the victim of a violent robbery.

It is not the first time that top-tier European athletes have been robbed. In December, Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo was assaulted at his home in England, and Benfica defender Nicolas Otamendi was assaulted at his home in Portugal during a home invasion.

According to the police, the Barcelona homes of Gerard Pique, Ansu Fati, Jordi Alba, Samuel Umtiti, and Coutinho have been burglarized during games.

Similar incidences involving players in Madrid, Seville, and Valencia have also been reported.
