Karine Jean-Pierre called a Russian pipeline “Nordstrom 1.”

Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for the White House, received trolls on social media when she mistakenly referred to a Russian pipeline as “Nordstrom 1.”

The news conference on Monday concerning the closure of Nord Stream 1, the key gas pipeline from Russia to Europe, was when Jean-Pierre made his error.

According to Jean-Pierre, “What we see Russia doing—and we’ve been very explicit about this—is they’re leveraging energy, they’re weaponizing energy.” One of the things that has been reported is that Nordstrom 1’s pipeline was turned off.

When a video of the incident went viral on social media, people made fun of the error by pointing out that “Nordstrom” is really an expensive department store, not a pipeline.

This was not a mistake of the tongue, Sen. Ted Cruz tweeted the video with. It was presented to Putin by Biden as a gift from Nordstrom’s.

Jimmy Failla, a radio presenter at Fox, tweeted about the press secretary’s error as well: Neither the fact that Karine Jean Pierre referred to it as The NORDSTROM Pipeline nor the fact that Biden shouted at his television, “No dummy, it’s Bloomingdales,” are particularly appalling.

Others made jokes about attacks on Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s, among other department shops.

You can take my cargo shorts when you tear them from my cold dead hands if they assault Old Navy, I’m readying myself if they do. One individual tweeted.

What has happened to this world? a different user stated. Will Saks Fifth Avenue be shut down in China in a similar fashion?

Don’t look now, radio broadcaster Chris Stigall tweeted. Attacking Nordstrom is Russia. Watch out, Macy’s!

Another commenter posed the question, “Maybe Europe could simply buy its energy cheaper from Nordstrom Rack?”

Sen. Ted Cruz of the United States tweeted the video with the caption: This was not an error of phrasing. It was a gift from Nordstrom’s that Biden presented to Putin.

Sen. Ted Cruz urged her to go to the southern border after she said last week that immigrants weren’t “walking” into the nation, which led to the error.

Former MoveOn national spokesperson Jean-Pierre claimed to have visited the border and then attacked Cruz by linking him to the administration’s immigration policy.

I visited the border in 2018, so I’ve done it. I was outside of the facilities where the Trump administration was snatching infants from their mothers’ arms and separating families, she said.

She was replying to a query on Cruz’s offer to visit the border and come witness for herself how migrants cross from Mexico into the United States, which he extended on his podcast on Tuesday during the White House press briefing.

She continued, reading from a prepared notepad, “Some of those youngsters still haven’t found their buddies.” As a result, I will declare that I categorically do not need lectures or invites about the border or border policy from Republicans.

And anybody who voted against obtaining a record amount of funds for the Department of Homeland Security would most definitely not have my respect when it comes to border advice. And while others are sending invitations, I’ll take advantage of the occasion to ask him—or anybody else—to vote for record funding for DHS when it comes up for a vote the next time, as President Biden has asked.

Her last border trip, which included a topic that Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden also fumbled with early in their administrations, strengthened her position.

Cruz received criticism when she said Monday during a conversation with Fox News journalist Peter Doocy that immigrants weren’t crossing the border by foot.

While Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic is prohibited from competing domestically owing to his lack of vaccinations, Doocy had questioned Jean-Pierre about the legality of unvaccinated immigrants entering and remaining in the United States.

Doocy had questioned Jean-Pierre as to why unvaccinated immigrants were allowed to enter and remain in the United States yet Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic was prohibited from competing there because of his lack of vaccinations.

It’s not that easy,’ remarked Jean-Pierre. It’s not simply that individuals are crossing the border on foot. There is a strategy in place. This is not the same as turning on the lights. This will need a procedure. We are repairing a flawed system that the previous government really left in place.

She said, “The US government likewise does not comment on medical information of specific passengers.”

Djokovic isn’t competing in the U.S. Open because he isn’t immunised.

Cruz and Jean-Pierre had previously clashed.

A Cruz staff member allegedly “lobbied for a deadly tyrant” named Laurent Gbagbo of the Ivory Coast, she said in a tweet from 2018.

Cruz criticised President Biden and Jean-Pierre on Sunday for calling MAGA supporters “extremists” and for Biden’s own remark that the movement was nearly “semi-fascist.”

Joe Biden and his press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre have gone too far: They’re targeting the American people and purposefully denigrating half the nation. He stated that it was wrong, harmful, and dishonest in addition to “demonising the voters.”
