A 16-year-old girl was alone at home reading a book when Pete Davidson crashed his Mercedes into her family’s house at high speed in the Flats neighbourhood of Beverly Hills on Saturday night.
The girl thought it was an earthquake due to the sound’s intensity and the crash’s impact.
Davidson was driving with his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders in the car. The crash caused significant damage to the house, knocking a window from its frame, but the girl was not physically injured, and her father said she was “a bit” traumatized.
Davidson lost control of his car and hit a fire hydrant before crashing into the house. Photos showed the damaged car with its hood, windscreen, and bumper smashed in.
Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash, according to the police. Davidson and Sui Wonders were not cited or arrested.
The crash happened after a tiring day for the couple, who had flown back from Hawaii after spending time on the beach earlier that day. Davidson had presented at the Kids’ Choice Awards that night before the crash occurred.
Davidson and Sui Wonders worked together on the film ‘Bodies Bodies Bodies in 2021, where they played love interests.
The film received an 85-per cent score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. They did not start dating until December 2022.
Davidson also stars in the Peacock series ‘Bupkis,’ where he serves as a writer and executive producer. Sui Wonders has been modelling for Miu Miu and Chanel and will star in the upcoming thriller ‘City on Fire,’ set to debut on Apple TV+ in May.
