Permanent Secretary Solicits Co-operation as she Assumes Office

Ms Kachollom Daju has assumed office as the new Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Addressing the staff, the Permanent Secretary solicited the cooperation of the management and staff of the organisation in actualising the mandate of the Ministry.

A statement by the Acting Head of Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, Patience Onuobia, said that the new Permanent Secretary stressed the place of team work in enhancing the productivity of the Ministry, which will subsequently lead to an overall achievement of the Ministry’s mandate.

“I am hopeful that with your full cooperation, I can settle in quickly and work will continue in earnest.

“Together we shall find new and innovative ways to build on the gains we already enjoy in the Ministry of Labour and Employment,” she said.

She expressed hope that the management and staff would work positively with her as a team “to support the Minister and the Minister of State, to not only continue to actualiss the mission and vision of this Ministry, but also, to ensure the mandate of Mr President to better the lives of the citizens is achieved.”

She said that her experience through the years as an information officer would stand her in good stead in pushing for a more visible Ministry of Labour and Employment, through publicizing its mandates and achievements.

The Director, Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Dr John Magbadelo, pledged maximum cooperation of the management and staff with the Permanent Secretary, as they strive for the overall success of the Ministry.
