Penguin, a ‘appalled’ publisher, has dropped best-selling book and social media sensation ‘The Meal Prep King’

Penguin has sacked bestselling author and social media celebrity ‘The Meal Prep King’ after he posted a weird misogynistic video tirade while wearing a black eye.

John Clark, 43, sent a live video to Instagram from what looked to be his house in Bolton, Greater Manchester, in which he said that he does not respect women and that they should “shut the f*** up” about their rights.

The social media celebrity with over 420,000 Instagram followers came on the One Show when he established his meal-prep company after losing nine stone.
Monday night, Clark posted numerous videos on Instagram in which he rants and drinks from a silver plastic bottle. He said, “Have some regard for women? Nope. You are all slovenly f******. However, I do like p****** ladies off.

Penguin Michael Joseph has sacked the 43-year-old author after the discovery of the video, characterizing his behavior as “unacceptable.”

In a statement to MailOnline, they said, “Penguin Michael Joseph is outraged by John Clark’s disgusting behavior.”

John is not under contract for any other publications, and we will not be dealing with him in the future.

During the broadcast, he referred to his face injuries, stating, “I was hit.”

The diatribe continues: “I am a woman, and I am entitled to rights”

I am not opposed to women.

I just disagree with ladies who believe there is a hierarchy. It is odd.

“I’m a woman and I have a hierarchy. What is a hierarchy of? Close your mouth and enter the f******. I am not this horrible in general, but I am bad at…certain things.

“But you must acknowledge, ladies, what it is, what I want to accomplish, is that women want to self-destruct males. F**** off.’

The author, who has two books published by Penguin, rose to prominence on lockdown when he began tweeting about his weight reduction struggle using meal-prep.

Together with his girlfriend, Charlotte Deniz, he dropped fifteen stone.

They amassed more than 1.6 million TikTok followers.

His cookbooks have sold over 250,000 copies, earning him a position on the Sunday Times Bestseller List, lucrative employment with the BBC, and the opportunity to market his own merchandise.

Through his website, Clark also offers a premium membership service for which followers pay £7.99 per month or £59.99 per year to obtain unique material such as exercises and films.

Following the’meltdown,’ however, some frightened followers said they could no longer support him.

Chloe Jayde said, ‘I was a fan of his; my boyfriend and I purchased both of his books earlier this year in an effort to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and I was surprised by the quality of some of the dishes.

After reading all of these comments, I’m quite dismayed to discover what kind of man he truly is. He went on to make further disparaging remarks about handicapped individuals, etc.

I came down last night expecting to hear a motivating speech or anything about his new eight-week challenge, but I couldn’t have been more incorrect!

“As the concert progressed, it only got worse and worse, and my jaw just kept dropping.”

I just cannot imagine that someone with that platform and who has been in the same situation as his audience would make such things.

Lauren said, “I felt I owed this man a lot since I followed him and dropped three stone by watching his and other TikTok producers’ videos.”

Roda Hassan added, “Absolutely absurd.”

I’m not a fan of the whole cancel culture, but respected publishers should remove this author due to his or her ideas.

The BBC, Penguin Books, and The Meal Prep King have been approached for comment.
