Orlando Pirates’ 2022/23 DStv Premiership schedule

Orlando Pirates’ 2022/23 DStv Premiership schedule has a difficult opening month and a new coach and captain.

The Soweto giants are now under the leadership of the Spaniard Jose Riveiro, and according to The South African website, Innocent Maela has replaced the late Happy Jele as captain.

However, the Buccaneers supporters could be concerned about the first month of games.

Orlando Pirates will need to get going quickly if they want to stay up with the early leaders in the battle for the championship. No club wants to fall behind in the title chase early in the season.

Orlando Pirates will kick off the new campaign at home against Swallows FC in the Soweto derby. After that, they have a challenging road match against Stellenbosch FC, who surprised many last years.

Next up comes a game that seems to be “easier” at home against Chippa United, but after that come two challenging road games against Royal AM and SuperSport United.

The Buccaneers host Marumo Gallants in their sixth and final DStv Premiership game of the month.
