One of two teenage girls “spiked” at Leeds Festival suffered a seizure

One of two adolescent females apparently had a seizure after being “spiked” with an injection at Leeds Festival.

At the Reading Festival, meantime, a guy was detained after two other concertgoers reportedly had needles stuck in them during the headliners Arctic Monkeys’ performance.

The instances occur after the sad death of a 16-year-old kid who is suspected of ingesting MDMA. He became unwell on Saturday night at approximately 10.15 p.m., and the following day he passed away in the hospital.

The investigation into the alleged occurrences at the Reading and Leeds Festivals has been confirmed by the police.

One of the girls, who is 17 and is unrelated to the other, had severe convulsions while riding in her mother’s vehicle in Leeds.

On August 27, the victim was in the crowded audience waiting for an act when she suddenly felt a severe, excruciating ache in her thigh.

She claims that as she turned around, she saw a guy take out a syringe before vanishing into the crowd.

The lady soon started to feel lightheaded, so her companions took her to the medical tent. She alleges her mother was advised to bring her up because she was supposed to “sleep it off.”

However, she began suffering a seizure on the way home, so her mother drove her to the hospital. Although she is now healing at home, she expresses concern that the needle may have been contaminated.

An hour later, another victim claimed to have received an unknown injection in a different occurrence. A hospital was visited by the victim.

Thames Valley Police said that they are looking into accusations of spiking during an Arctic Monkeys concert at Reading Festival.

The police verified that a guy had been detained in relation to a needle-spiking event, but they also said that he had been released.

We did make an arrest of a guy in relation to a case of needle spiking, however he was released without being charged, according to a Thames Valley Police spokeswoman.

Two 17-year-old females claimed being the victims of probable needle spiking at Leeds Festival, and West Yorkshire Police confirmed that they are also looking into the claims.

In two separate events on Saturday, both girls reported feeling sick and were given medical assistance on the spot. For both reports and inquiries, crimes have been documented.

The 16-year-old teenager who passed away yesterday at Leeds Festival may have ingested a “grey or black” ecstasy pill on Saturday night, according to West Yorkshire Police.

Following the teen’s death, which is thought to have been caused by narcotics, an inquiry has been opened.

Around 10.16 p.m. on Saturday, officers received a report saying the youngster had been transported to the medical tent after becoming unwell.

He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly he passed away on Sunday. His parents are aware.

West Yorkshire Police Assistant Chief Constable Catherine Hankinson said:

We have police assisting the boy’s family through this very trying time, and our thoughts are with them.

While the precise cause of his death has not yet been determined, one line of inquiry is that he may have consumed a certain kind of ecstasy (MDMA) pill, which was described as having an oblong form and being grey or black.

Currently, it is assumed that this was an unique incidence since there haven’t been any complaints of anything comparable.

Users of drugs that are not medically prescribed by a physician may never be certain of their contents or the hazards associated with taking the substance.

Anyone who feels unwell after using any drug should get help right once.

“We are carefully coordinating with the event organisers and are continuing to make inquiries on the ground.”

On social media, police issued a call for anybody with knowledge on the tragedy to come forward.

Since its inception in 1999, Leeds Festival has been a well-liked event for teens and young adults. It ran this year from August 25 to August 28.

Each day of the Leeds Festival this year drew an estimated 100,000 visitors.

US pop artist Halsey will perform on Friday night, rapper Dave, who was born in Streatham, will perform on Saturday, and the Arctic Monkeys will perform on Sunday at the event.

On Saturday night, The Arctic Monkeys, whose lead singer Alex Turner is from Sheffield, also had a performance in Reading, Leeds’ sister event.

Reading and Leeds usually share headliners and opening bands, and both events take place at the same time each year in late August.
