A Saturday evening shooting in Columbia City resulted in the death of one man and the serious injury of another. Detectives are conducting an investigation.
Callers to 911 reported hearing gunfire in the 3000 block of South Bradford Street around 6:03 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two apparent adult male victims. One of the males was fatally shot, and Seattle Fire Department doctors pronounced him dead at the site. The second guy was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition by medical personnel.
Witnesses reported conflicting reports of suspects’ flight from the scene, and authorities continue to examine these allegations.
Members of the SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit were sent to collect evidence at the scene.
Additionally, homicide detectives responded and will be leading the continuing investigation.
