1980 | On this day, the FA Cup semi-final between Arsenal and Liverpool was finally decided in the fourth match. In those days before the penalty shootout, Brian Talbot’s 12th-minute goal gave Arsenal a 1-0 victory at Coventry’s Highfield Road in the third replay. It was the only time the FA Cup semi-final was played at the stadium.
