The Omambala Progressive Forum is made up of people from the Omambala region’s four (4) LGAs: Anambra East, Anambra West, Oyi, and Ayamelum.
The forum met for the first time this year, and they discussed a variety of topics affecting their region, including the upcoming National Assembly elections in 2023.
The meeting had several speakers stressing the need for sustained quality representation at the National Assembly.
Members expressed gratitude and appreciation to the incumbent lawmaker representing their senatorial district, Senator Stella Oduah, whom they described as heaven-sent and the people’s choice for the forthcoming elections.
Speaker after speaker highlighted the noble and commendable attributes of the distinguished senator whilst unanimously affirming that she had done more than all the past occupants of the office put together.
They then pleaded and asked that she run for another term since it was clear that she had the people’s interest at heart and stressed that her tenures had ushered intangible results, unprecedented growth and development in the region.
They applauded her different laudable projects and initiatives such as the agricultural loans, the Covid-19 survival fund, the building of roads, ICT centres, school blocks, water boreholes, the uncountable empowerment schemes and the human capital development training programs.
After much deliberation and consultation, the forum issued a communique jointly signed by key stakeholders of the forum, amongst whom were; Mr Emeka Small Nzekwe- Anambra east LGA (DG SSO POLITICAL MOVEMENT), Mr Amaechi Chimeze- Oyi LGA, Chief Alex Okonkwo- Anambra west LGA, John Onyimonyi- Ayamelum LGA, Mrs Angela Ejike- Ayamelum LGA, Barr Chucks Nnalue- Ayamelum LGA, Jideofor Okuzua- Oyi LGA, Chief Emma Onyimeyi- Anambra west LGA, Augustine Chuweike Egwu- Anambra east LGA, Linda Malubeze- Anambra east LGA, Barr Kingsley Nwakobu- Ayamelum LGA, Regina Nwagbogu- Anambra east LGA, Mrs Ogo Nwasi- Anambra east LGA, Mrs Ujue Osakwe- Anambra East LGA.
They unanimously endorsed the distinguished Senator Stella Oduah as their preferred candidate for the next elections.
This is the first significant endorsement the senator is receiving this year, and it goes a long way to show how connected she is to the grassroots level.
