Olivia Troye uncovered confidential materials while working for Mike Pence

Former Trump aide Olivia Troye described discovering sensitive papers while working for Vice President Mike Pence in a toilet within the White House compound.

She remarked on MSNBC on Friday, “I once discovered sensitive material in the White House’s ladies room in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.”

Olivia Troye said that members of former President Donald Trump's (pictured) administration were sloppy with classified information, especially political appointees

“I just discovered this in the restroom,” I stated as I walked it straight up to security.

“I hid it, and I placed it in a file.” It wasn’t adequately labelled, she continued.

“I did not anticipate seeing a paper like that when I entered the women’s restroom.”

Troye, who had worked with Pence on the White House’s coronavirus team, resigned from the government in September 2020 due to the way that previous President Donald Trump handled the COVID-19 outbreak.

She then gave Democratic President Joe Biden her vocal support.

In a follow-up interview that aired on MSNBC on Sunday, Troye criticised former administration officials for being careless with sensitive information.

“I’m going to tell you, see, it’s a well-known fact.” People, particularly political appointees, would bring papers about, and historically, you would put it in a pouch, secure it, and lock the bag, and then carry it,’ she added.

“That wasn’t the standard in the White House,” someone said.

She said, “And I do believe that there were many circumstances where you would witness this type of conduct.”

She said that the restroom encounter had upset her.

I remember the panic because, in her words, “I can speak for many in the intelligence community, when you hold a security clearance and you find documents like that, there is sort of a blood pressure rise in you, where you pick it up and you’re like, “Oh, what do I do with this?” Because I have a duty to protect it,” she said.

Troye also made fun of Trump for having sensitive documents at Mar-a-Lago that FBI officials had to remove a week earlier.

“Once again, you do have an obligation to preserve the information,” she said, “and that means, you know, you don’t bring it home and keep it for however many months in an unclassified facility.”

It makes no difference what it says, What’s inside it,’ she continued.

The former Pence official said, “The main thing is that that information is saved and should be handled correctly and guarded because it might put lives at danger – if that information comes into the wrong hands.”

Since the search on last Monday, Trump has blasted those responsible for the raid while offering justifications for why the material was kept at his former home and club.

‘Wow! My three passports, one of which was expired, were taken during the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago, according to Trump’s Monday assertion.

This attack on a political rival is at a level that has never been seen in our nation. Fourth World!

He had earlier claimed to have declassified the items the spies discovered.

Trump pushed the idea on Monday that the outcry to the raid, which had been stoked by the former president and his associates, would benefit Republicans in the November primary elections.

The author of Truth Social claimed that “Republicans might gain many extra seats, both in the House & Senate, due of the tremendous response to the raid at Mat-a-Lago.”

According to polls, the FBI’s surprise Break In, which should have never occurred, has more than made up for Republican ground that has been lost over the last several weeks.
