Ogun State Government Announces 2022 Hajj Ad hoc committee

Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, has approved the formation of an Ad hoc Committee of the state’s Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission.

Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to the State Government, designated Alhaji Kehinde Husayn Lawal, the Chief Imam of Ikenne, as chairman and Prof Kamal Balogun, the Amirl-Hajj, in a statement.

Dr. Kola Olawunmi, Sheikh Iskeel Lawal Sugar, Sheikh Rufai Sile, and Imam AbdulGaniyu Ejalonibu have also been appointed as members.

Imam Uthman Fasasi Akeukowo, Imam AbdulWasiu Adeniyi Akinboyede, Alhaji Tunde Oladunjoye, Alhaja Bisola Aliu, Dr. Kamilu Akano Raji, and Alhaja Yemi Kudirat Rabiu are among the remaining members.

The ad hoc panel will oversee the state pilgrims’ Hajj operations in 2022, according to the announcement.
