Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali claims his life is in danger hours after his offices are raided

Mohammed Ali, a Nyali member of parliament, now asserts that his life is in danger hours after an unidentified group of persons stormed his offices located there.

A corruption dossier on the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) was to be released during a Kenya Kwanza Rally, according to Ali, who now claimed that this was what caused his troubles.

“My offices were raided and those who raided it had a specific intention. They went from one office to the other looking for the dossier document I had against KPA,” Ali stated.

The Nyali MP claimed that although various devices, including television sets, were taken, the raid was staged to appear to be a robbery.

He further hinted that his political competitor for the Nyali constituency seat, Abu Joho, may have planned the raid incident as a way to intimidate him before the August elections.

“Police fired one gun shot at night and we want them to start investigations at once. My office and that of deputy county commissioner are close. It seems that there is a plot to bring trouble to the politics in Mombasa,” he stated.

According to Ali, investigations have started, and the police have already checked for fingerprints while analyzing CCTV footage.

“No one has been arrested so far. The police officers just came and looked at the CCTV footage,” he said.
