NSW Ambulance attends to a car-hit child in Rathmines, Lake Macquarie

A youngster died tragically after being struck by a vehicle in a terrifying driveway incident.

Multiple crews and a helicopter responded to a complaint of a small kid being struck in a driveway on Rosemary Row, Rathmines, a suburb of Lake Macquarie in the Hunter area of New South Wales, just after 2.30 p.m. on Monday.

Officers of the NSW Ambulance Service started treating the youngster immediately, however despite their best efforts, they could not be saved.

The police were there and verified to Daily Mail Australia that they had began their investigation.
