Nonhlanhla Khoza urges KwaZulu youths to tackle crime

Nonhlanhla Khoza, the MEC for Social Development in KwaZulu-Natal, has asked the region to band together to fight crime, particularly the murder of women and children.

These these cowards who continue to assault women and children must be imprisoned, Khoza added. “We should rest after all bold offenders are in jail and punished for their offences.”

Following the horrifying murder of the Dlamini family, who were assaulted at their house in KwaMtholo village, Umtubatuba, the MEC made the statements.

According to reports, unidentified gunmen attacked the Dlamini household early on Wednesday and started shooting, murdering four family members.

Although specifics surrounding the murder of the helpless women and children are still hazy, it is assumed that the attackers forced their way into the farmhouse while the victims were asleep and started shooting.

Thembelihle Dlamini (60), Nokuthula Dlamini (42), Sanele Dlamini (7 years old), and Alondwe Khanyile (3 months old) were named as the dead.

Gender-based violence (GBV) occurrences in the province are alarmingly high, according to Khoza, and everyone must do their part to put a stop to the evil.

She urged law enforcement organisations to do everything possible to find the offenders and bring them to justice.

We want to find the cruel individuals who committed such a heinous murder, and we urge anybody with information to contact the police, added Khoza.

Khoza offered the Dlamini family her sincere sympathies for their loss.

We are pained by this attack on helpless women and children, astounded and horrified by the heinous assaults on women and children, and appalled that there are still some who disregard human life “MEC added.

Khoza has sent a group of social workers to the Dlamini household to help the family members with their psychological needs.
