No sustainable peace, said the NATO Secretary General in Oslo, if tyranny triumphs over freedom

Thursday at the Annual Conference of the Norwegian Confederation of Enterprises in Oslo, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized the significance of helping Ukraine, especially with additional armaments (5 January 2023).

Mr. Stoltenberg stated, “In truth, weapons are the path to peace,” adding, “there will be no sustainable peace if oppression and tyranny triumph over freedom and democracy.” He emphasized the necessity for Allies to invest more in defense, remove their reliance on authoritarian governments, and stand united in their defense of freedom and democracy.
