According to reports, New Jersey Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour was discovered shot and dead outside her home on Wednesday night.
The New Jersey Globe stated that the body of 30-year-old Dwumfour was discovered in her vehicle after police got a complaint of gunfire near the Camelot at La Mer apartment complex in Sayreville, New Jersey.
Dwumfour, a Republican who has served as councilwoman for the Borough of Sayreville since 2021, was declared dead at the scene, according to a statement from the Middlesex County Prosecutor and the Sayreville police chief.
According to reports, authorities are examining the death of Dwumfour as a homicide. No arrests have been made as of Thursday morning.
In November 2021, Dwumfour, a Republican, was elected to the position. She would not be eligible for reelection until 2024.
Dwumfour was a Certified Business Analyst, Scrum Professional, and part-time EMT for Fire Congress Fellowship, Inc. According to her LinkedIn page, she also served as Director of Churches for the Champions Royal Assembly in Nigeria.

Dwumfour holds a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies from William Paterson University.
The police refused to comment on the murder when The Post contacted them.
