Nicola McLean, a former contestant of ITV’s endurance show “I’m A Celebrity” in 2008, has expressed her criticism of Gillian McKeith, a participant in the latest special edition of the show, “I’m A Celebrity: South Africa”.

In an interview with the Daily Star, McLean stated that McKeith should not be part of the show, saying, “You know I’m not a fan of Gillian McKeith, I’m just not and OK and she had that one good moment on the show and if that makes her a legend on I’m a Celeb, then that annoys me.”

In the first episode of the show, presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed that the celebrities would be competing against each other, before revealing a surprise guest.

Gillian McKeith, a Scottish television personality, was revealed to be the guest in a box brought into the camp.

Shaun Ryder, another participant on the show, was shocked by her arrival, as the two had clashed previously in the Australian camp in 2010.

Despite her negative opinion of McKeith, McLean found the dynamics between the two participants amusing, stating that “When she came out from the box Shaun Ryder’s face was so funny, he will be quite good value I think…He said ‘I nearly killed her last time,’ they really didn’t get on well.”
