The rapper has been engaged in a Twar with Latto since early Friday am as a result of a contentious article that claimed Nicki Minaj’s smash song “Super Freaky Girl” wouldn’t qualify for any rap categories at the forthcoming Grammy Awards but would instead fall under pop.
Contrarily, many sources claim that Latto’s “Big Energy” has been nominated in at least one rap category for the Oscars.
Minaj responded to this by tweeting initially that if she isn’t going to be nominated in the rap category, Latto shouldn’t either.
As long as we are all treated fairly, I have no problem leaving the RAP group, the woman remarked.
“If SFG has 2B pushed out RAP, Big Energy does, too! ANYONE who claims otherwise is either a troll or a Nicki hater. A more street record victory, whether it be male or female, would be awesome! IJS is correct.
Later, she responded to people who had criticized her for including Latto in this by claiming that she worked too hard and deserved to stand up for herself since she had been purposefully treated unjustly.
“Can you image being told not to “complain” about receiving unjust treatment at work? I work here. I am really diligent.

After a protracted exchange in which Minaj made light of Latto’s dismal first-week sales and Latto argued that Minaj was too old (“you’re actually older than my mom”) to be harassing her, Minaj focused her ire on Latto and other trolls who had made reference to her “rapist” brother and husband.
Latto wrote, “Super weird granny is matted AND linked to f***** rapists.”

Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, was convicted of predatory sexual assault on a minor, and her husband, Kenneth Petty, spent time in jail for attempted rape in 1995.
Minaj replied with many tweets, which she has since removed. “Y’all keep allowing these bozos weaponize the WORD rape when they’re being dragged & not holding them responsible for not really CARING about rape VICTIMS in REAL LIFE,” read one of them.
