Nick Candy and Holly Vallance put their ten-bedroom mansion in Los Angeles for sale for a cool $85 million

The ten-bedroom mansion in Los Angeles owned by property billionaire Nick Candy and his wife Holly Valance is up for sale for a cool $85 million.

According to reports, the British billionaire who is well-known for his high-end real estate developments and is married to Holly Valance, an Australian actress and singer, has owned his US residence since 2013.

The Reserve, a massive 21,000 square foot building with two acres of gardens, was constructed in 1959.

In the past 20 years, it has undergone extensive modification.

It is referred to by real estate agents as “one of the most historic estates in Los Angeles” and “one of the best specimens of 1950s modernist architecture in the city.”

On a corner plot in the affluent Holmby Hills neighbourhood, the property consists of a main house with five bedrooms and eleven bathrooms and a guest house at the end of a 226-foot drive.

Along with Bel Air and Beverly Hills, the neighbourhood is renowned for its opulent gated mansions and is a part of what is known as the Platinum Triangle of Los Angeles.

In 1995, Christian, 47, and Nick, 49, started refurbishing apartments in London. In 1999, they founded Candy & Candy.

With the official debut of their One Hyde Park complex of ultra-luxury flats in Knightsbridge in 2011, the brothers rose to prominence in the real estate industry.

The primary residence of Nick in Los Angeles is a single story and made of unusual masonry.

It is described as having ‘palatial proportions’ with 14-foot ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, and five fireplaces.

The five bedrooms in the 11,000 square foot main home, which also includes a large family kitchen and an informal dining space with views of the gardens, include a 1,000 square foot master wing with separate “his and hers” en-suite baths and dressing rooms.

The property’s real estate brokers say that it includes two stunning living areas, including a Hollywood art deco bar with black and white images of movie stars and a formal lounge with a wine room to keep guests’ glasses filled.

Additionally, there is a 12-seat movie theatre decorated in the French Regency style of the 1920s, a serene library, and an extraordinary playground used by Candy’s two young girls that has built-in Wendy House-like chambers and a helter-skelter slide that descends into a ball pit.

The expansive grounds have seven vintage-inspired water features and fountains, terraces with an art-deco theme, and outdoor dining areas.

Additionally, there is a tennis court with a pavilion built into the hillside, a swimming pool with dancing jets and a jacuzzi, and a rooftop terrace with views of the Holmby Hills and beyond.

With 10,000 square feet, the recently constructed three-story guest house, dubbed the “most significant addition to the estate,” is almost as big as the main residence.

The guest house, which is next to the main home, has 1920s art deco furnishings, five spacious suites spread across two floors with walk-in closets and balconies, seven bathrooms, a kitchen and living room, a gym, a sauna, and a steam room, as well as a car port that can accommodate up to 15 vehicles.

American fashion designer Tom Ford, who resides across the street from the old residence of socialite and philanthropist Betsy Bloomingdale, is among the neighbours.

After Betsy and her late husband Alfred, the department store magnate and banker, passed away, Ford purchased the nine-bedroom guarded estate for an estimated $38.75 million in 2016.

Candy’s home is exclusively for sale in Los Angeles through The Agency, seeking $85 million.

It is uncommon for a property of this grandeur to become available in the sought-after Holmby Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles, according to Mauricio Umansky, founder and CEO of The Agency.

This home, which spans 21,000 square feet, combines the best current renovations throughout the two properties on the property with classic modernist architecture from the 1950s.

The house offers the finest of the California lifestyle thanks to its limitless amenities, both inside and outside.

The agency’s principal, David Parnes, continued, “We are honored to be representing The Reserve.

This iconic estate was built and created with meticulous precision and finesse, fusing art deco and contemporary design.

The home, which sits on almost two acres, is situated in LA’s prestigious Platinum Triangle on one of the greatest streets.

It really is a classic work of art and trophy property.

Candy has gained attention recently for her contributions to the Tory party, most particularly for her support of Shaun Bailey in the London mayoral race last year.

In December of last year, a photo showing him and Bailey among partygoers at a lockdown-breaking party held at the Westminster headquarters of the Conservative Party the year before surfaced.

Bailey’s resignation from the London Assembly was caused by the image.

In order to represent Nick Candy’s sole ownership, the real estate development firm Candy & Candy changed its name to Candy Property in 2018.

Additionally, he has a private investment fund called Candy Ventures, which has stakes in several start-ups in the technology sector.
