NFL’s best quarterback may be engaged after weeks of whispers

It seems that the possibly best quarterback in professional football history may be in third and long when it comes to his marriage after weeks of circling rumours.

According to sources who spoke with CNN, Brady and his model wife Gisele Bündchen are now “living apart” due to “marital troubles.”

I don’t like watching a marriage fall apart, but it was easy to predict this would happen.

Gisele delivered this bombshell in a recent interview with Elle Magazine: “I’ve done my bit, which is [to] be there for [Tom].”

“When I relocated to Boston, my priorities were on building a safe haven and a loving atmosphere for my children to develop in, as well as being there to support him and his aspirations,” she added.

She continued by saying that she wanted Brady to be more “present” for her and the kids.

Oof!

Anyone who is married understands that is not a casual remark. It resembles more of a blindside sack by a defensive lineman weighing 350 pounds.

Gisele was obviously upset over her husband’s choice to rejoin the NFL.

Who could blame her, though?

Beginning in 2022, the quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and former member of the New England Patriots team announced his retirement after 22 seasons.

Amazingly, he abruptly came out of retirement 40 days later.

The assurance that he will spend more time with his three children and former Victoria’s Secret angel wife was insufficient.

Come on, this man isn’t telling the truth.

Brady’s choice and a continuous stream of “insider” chitchat led to speculation that the pair could be divorcing.

Then, this month, Bündchen skipped the Bucs’ season opener against the Dallas Cowboys while Brady missed workouts due to “personal problems.”

Instead, in an effort to revive her own career, the 42-year-old travelled to New York Fashion Week.

She told Vanity Fair, “I feel really satisfied as a mother and as a wife.” “Now it’s going to be my time,” he said.

There is much strain. When he announced his retirement, she was overjoyed, and when he changed his mind, she wasn’t at all pleased, a source told People Magazine.

The two were growing apart, but there remained hope, a knowledgeable blabbermouth told the New York Post in early September.

Tom is still hoping for a reconciliation, according to the source. “Gisele has already informed him she is leaving him, and they have always reconciled after she cools down.”

Let’s be real here.

Bündchen had a legitimate grievance against her spouse.

She was brutally denied the retirement carrot after it had been cruelly held out in front of her.

While raising her and Brady’s children, Bündchen put her enormously lucrative and successful modelling career on hold.

Brady has acknowledged as much, saying in June that “football has always taken a second place” to other things.

It seems sense that Bündchen wants to be recognised for her efforts and that her spouse will finally give her and the kids some undisturbed time.

Just take a look at what Brady stated about his dedication to his job.

I haven’t celebrated Christmas or Thanksgiving or birthdays of individuals I care about who were born between the months of August and late January in 23 years. Additionally, I am unable to attend weddings or funerals.

I believe that at some point in life, you realise: “You know what? I’ve had enough and it’s time to go on and engage in other aspects of life.

Yes, in your opinion?

Marriage is about giving and taking, and it seems like Brady is never willing to offer.

Gisele mentions in her interview that there are significant hazards associated with playing in the NFL beyond the age of 40.

Brady has had concussions in 20 of his 22 seasons; may he not have CTE prior to starting a family.

Brady even acknowledged feeling his age in a podcast interview after his Buccaneers thrashed the Cowboys.

Your body undergoes significant transformation around age 45. So what am I now dealing with? Today when I woke up, I thought, “Holy s***, there was a couple hits.”

He has seven Super Bowl rings, two more than retired linebacker Charles Haley, and is the NFL player with the most of them. He is also the most successful quarterback.

What is there left for him to do? What physical risk may potentially be worthwhile?

Naturally, I worry since this is a really brutal sport, I have kids, and I want him to be here more,’ Bündchen said to Elle.

“I have undoubtedly discussed such topics with him repeatedly. But in the end, I believe that everyone has to choose a course of action that suits them. He too must pursue his delight.

Brady’s passion is undoubtedly football.

But he must understand that very few individuals ever get the chance to follow their love for twenty years while earning hundreds of millions of dollars doing it. He is really fortunate.

Gisele speaks for every man or woman who thinks their spouse or significant other has neglected the necessities of their home.

Brady continues to play for himself, in contrast to the ordinary American who must work into their 60s to support himself and their family.

He seems to need the admiration of the people based on his unwillingness to retire from the sport. That is a difficulty.

Before the 2022 season, Brady said, “We’ve got a heck of a team.”

Okay, but what about the squad that has supported you for over ten years by seeing you play, travelling with you, and adjusting to your eccentric schedule?

Three of those colleagues have your DNA, and one of them has a ring on her finger.

A man of honour honours his word to them.

Brady must find it difficult to let go of such a significant part of his identity.

He is a hero on the football field. ‘Dad’ is all he is at home.

However, no amount of cash or precious stones can turn back the hands of time.

His youngest kid is nine years old already. He has, he admits, missed half of her formative years.

This week, Brady claimed on a podcast that he is “near to the end,” fuelling rumours that this would be his final year of playing professional football.

Perhaps his argument with Bündchen has given him the motivation he needs to give up his favourite sport.

Brady has had a legendary career that will go down in history. However, Brady’s Twitter bio’s first word is “family,” not “football.”

It’s time for him to begin behaving like such.
