Nets hold a two-game advantage

Incorporating defence as their primary strategy, the Nets hold a two-game advantage over the sixth-seeded Knicks and a 2 ½-game advantage over the No. 7 Heat with 24 games remaining in the season.

Having already clinched the series with Miami and boasting a 2-1 record against the Knicks, a win at the Garden on Wednesday or in Miami on March 25th could secure them the sixth seed.

While Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving remain sidelined, the Nets’ roster, led by Nic Claxton and Mikal Bridges, boasts NBA All-Defensive Team contenders.

Still, their depleted offence necessitates a focus on creating turnovers.

To take advantage of their fresh legs, the Nets must maintain a fast pace and generate open 3-point opportunities before defences have a chance to set up.
