NBA 2K23 debuts Shane Eagle

Shane Eagle, the young musician most renowned for his tight, conscious raps, has revealed that “Chocolate Milk,” the standout tune off his sophomore album “Never Grow Up,” has been included in the NBA 2K23 video game soundtrack.

“Chocolate Milk” is Eagle’s most commercially successful single to date, with over two million streams as of this writing. Additionally, Eagle said that he was the first local artist to be included on the renowned basketball game.

Eagle wrote on Instagram, “Being the 1st South African artist on the NBA2K23 game soundtrack with ‘Chocolate Milk,’ which is coded in such an iconic piece of history, is an honor and a dream come true.”

“Thank you, @2k and @nuclearnikki, for making this possible. ecstatic that everything comes full circle… @nba2k be Legendary.”

Eagle commemorated the fifth anniversary of his South African Music Awards (SAMA)-winning debut album “Yellow” two months ago.

The record, which was released a year after he first gained prominence on the reality TV show “Vuzu Hustle,” helped catapult him to become one of the most promising emerging stars in the nation.

He would later cooperate with J Cole’s protégé from Dreamville, Bas, and tour Europe with the Dreamville crew.

J Cole, who has recently dabbled in a basketball career, witnessed him play point guard for the Canadian Scarborough Shooting Stars.

A few months ago, after scoring a three-pointer, he tweeted, “Shattered my previous Career high @BAA happy to be able to play for @scarboroughshootingstars.”
