In a grim development, a man has been charged in connection with a woman’s murder in Derbyshire, following the discovery of her body near a motorway.
The nature of the incident has shocked the community and initiated a search for further information related to the case.
The Charged Individual
On Tuesday, Darren Hall, a 36-year-old resident of Rodney Way, Ilkeston, was charged with the murder of Sarah Henshaw, who was 31 years old.
The legal authorities arrested Hall in connection with the case, shedding some light on the mysterious circumstances surrounding Henshaw’s death.
Discovery of the Body
Ms. Henshaw’s body was tragically found just after midnight in a layby off the westbound carriageway of the A617, close to the junction 29 of the M1 motorway.
The discovery has led to an outpouring of grief from her loved ones and raised serious concerns in the local community.
Henshaw’s Last Known Location
Ms. Henshaw, a mother of two children, was last reported seen at her residence in Norman Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, around 9 pm on the previous Tuesday.

Legal Proceedings
Hall has been remanded in custody after being charged with Henshaw’s murder.
He is due to appear before the Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on June 28.

Derbyshire Police has also issued an appeal for any information regarding a blue Ford Transit van with a registration beginning with YP16.
The vehicle is believed to have been in the vicinity during the early hours of Wednesday, June 21, and could potentially be linked to the case.

Earlier on Tuesday, Sarah Henshaw’s mother, Lorraine, expressed her profound sorrow at the loss of her “wonderful daughter and sister”.
She paid tribute to Henshaw, acknowledging her as a devoted mother to her two children and a person who always put others before herself.
The family is coping with the overwhelming loss and will always remember her with love.
