Prince William was given karate lessons by a personal trainer as he addressed the audience outside Windsor Castle yesterday, as captured in a humorous video.

During a 40-minute walkabout with Prince Harry and his spouses Catherine and Meghan, the new Prince of Wales spent time speaking with thousands of well-wishers.

And possibly in an effort to put a smile to the sad prince’s face, Sensei Amie Benton told him he could phone her ‘anytime’ to schedule karate lessons, adding that her club was “only around the block.”

William, who has recently relocated with his wife and three children to the adjacent Adelaide Cottage, replied, “I need to get in shape, so karate lessons would help.”

Both individuals flexed their muscles and smiled, with Prince William demonstrating his karate chops.

Catherine, now Princess of Wales, can be seen in the distance bending in to speak with members of the audience and taking a large bouquet of white flowers.

The Prince of Wales demonstrated his karate chop abilities while Sensei Amie Benton encouraged him to contact her “at any time” to schedule training.

A well-wisher reported that Kate ‘welled up’ as she told children that her youngest son Louis, who won the nation’s hearts during the Platinum Jubilee festivities, consoled her by saying, ‘At least Grannie is with Great Grandpa now.’

Another royal admirer who chatted with Harry and Meghan told MailOnline, ‘It’s wonderful to see them together. Perhaps they can return to a healthy relationship.

As they approached, a pleasant wave spread through the audience. Hopefully, it is the time for Harry and his brother to begin their mending. I am ecstatic to have witnessed them both together. It is gorgeous.’

Prince William responded humorously to Sensei Benton’s offer of martial arts classes by stating that he does need to get fitter.

Someone else remarked, “It could help build bridges.” It was possibly the Queen’s wish. And a kid who hugged Meghan during the walkabout expressed her happiness at seeing the Waleses and Sussexes together.

It is believed that yesterday’s unexpected appearance was the first time the two couples have been in public together since Commonwealth Day on March 9, 2020.

And this is the first time William and Harry have been seen together in public since they joined the unveiling of the memorial to Princess Diana.
