Moment a Brisbane’s dumbest criminal attempts to steal a Mitsubishi

A bizarre video of a tried vehicle thief being pulled to the ground by dealership employees after they cracked the car’s window to prevent him from driving away has emerged once again.

In the footage, worried Brisbane dealership staff huddle around a white Mitsubishi Outlander while the would-be auto thief cranks it without getting inside the vehicle.

It seems that the car’s distinctive switch-button handbrake prevented the burglar from starting it.

He may have merely scheduled a test drive in the automobile, but when worried dealership staff attempted to extricate him, he continued to lock the doors.

He eventually succeeds in getting the vehicle running and does a U-turn, slamming into the dealership’s curb, before being obstructed by a Toyota LandCruiser.

One angry employee yelled “Call the cops” as he made an attempt to flee.

As the suspected thief continues to refuse to exit the truck, the employees eventually lose patience and one approaches with a huge metal bollard.

If the motorist doesn’t exit the vehicle immediately, a worker threatens to break the glass.

‘If you don’t get out of the vehicle, I’ll pull you through here.’

The attempted thief was dragged to the ground while yelling for assistance and declaring, “I wasn’t stealing it.”

The worker repeatedly slams the bollard into the driver’s window a few seconds later.

Two employees tackle the driver to the ground after he leaps out of the car and makes an effort to flee.

Workers hold the attempted thief’s arms behind his back as he cries for assistance and declares, “I wasn’t stealing it.”

The event is said to have happened sometime in January of last year, although it is unknown whether the guy was prosecuted.
