Mohammed Rafaqit Kayani was stabbed on August 30

The identity and photo of a 24-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in Slough have been released by police.

Around noon on Tuesday, August 30, Mohammed Rafaqit Kayani was stabbed in the chest in Keel Drive, Berkshire.

Even though he had severe injuries, the hospital was unable to rescue him. Officers with specialised training are assisting his family.

Following an investigation by the Major Crime Unit of the Thames Valley Police, two individuals have been charged in connection with the murder.

Hassan Al-Kubanji, 21, of London, was accused of murder, perverting the course of justice, and possessing a weapon or sharp object in a public place on separate counts.

He was also accused with possessing cocaine and heroin with the purpose to provide them, which is a class A restricted substance.

Remanded in custody until his appearance before Reading Magistrates Court today.

Miguel Parian John, 41, of Slough, was charged with two charges of possessing cocaine and heroin with the purpose to resell them, as well as one count of aiding an offender.

Yesterday, he was additionally accused of having a blade or sharp object in a public area.

He was placed under detention and made an appearance yesterday at Reading Magistrates’ Court, where he was again placed under remand to appear at Reading Crown Court on October 3.

A third male, age 21, without a permanent address who was detained by police on Tuesday on suspicion of murder, is still being held.

On GoFundMe, a Sadqah Jariyah, which translates to “a continuous flow of generosity,” has been established in memory of Mr. Kayani, and it has raised more than £6,000 so far.

On Tuesday, August 30, our cherished Rafaqit Kayani made his way back to his Lord, according to the fundraising. May Allah make his tomb larger and bestow upon him wealth in the afterlife.

In order to honour Rafaqit Kayani’s good actions, our family established this Sadqah Jariyah in his honour.

In honour of Mr. Kayani, a Sadqah Jariyah has been established on GoFundMe, and it has already raised more than £6,000.

Detective Chief Inspector Dejan Avramovic, a senior investigative officer with the Major Crime Unit, stated: “We continue to think about Rafaqit’s family through what must be a very trying time for them. I would ask for their privacy to be respected.”
