After the airing of his Showmax tell-all special “Mohale: On The Record” in August, reality TV star Mohale Motaung has enjoyed a very successful month.
In the tell-all, Motaung assumed control of the story by narrating his version of the events surrounding his highly publicized marriage to media star Somizi Mhlongo.
The former couple won a nomination at the South African Film and Television Awards for their groundbreaking same-sex wedding special, “Somizi & Mohale: The Union.”
“Mohale: On The Record” topped Twitter’s trending topics as viewers digested the bombshells Motaung dropped during his Oprah Winfrey-style interview with news anchor and radio personality Aldrin Sampear.
Motaung filled in the blanks in the special, after becoming the focus of season five of “Living the Dream with Somizi.”
The Opulence radio host thanked the public for enabling him to speak his mind in a social media message.
“I can just say thank you. You allowed me to speak my truth, for which I will be eternally grateful. In a nation with so many social problems, you allowed me to be at the forefront of my story. I am grateful for this,” he wrote.
Although the decision to film the special was difficult, Motaung stated that it was “worth it.”
Following the release of the most recent episode from Showmax, “Somizi and Mohale: End Of The Road,” many fans are glad to see that the chapter is now finished.
