Miles Bridges’ wife Mychelle Johnson says she could not ‘be silent anymore’ as she posted a series of images showing bruises and scratches over her hands, back, legs and face

A day after her NBA star husband turned himself in to police on a charge of domestic violence, Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges’ wife tweeted graphic photographs of severe injuries all over her body and said she was “choked until I went to sleep.”

Mychelle Johnson uploaded a series of photos on Instagram of bruises and scrapes covering her wrists, back, legs, and face, claiming she could “no longer remain silent.”

Johnson, who shares two small children with Bridges, said on Thursday, “I’ve let someone to destroy my household, abuse me in every way conceivable, and traumatize our kids for life.”

Johnson tweeted pictures of her injuries along with a medical report that revealed she had been strangled, had a brain concussion, and had bruised ribs on Tuesday. Adult victim of physical abuse by male spouse, according to the diagnosis.

A day after Bridges, 24, surrendered to Los Angeles police on suspicion of domestic abuse, Johnson released the collection of pictures depicting her injuries.

According to TMZ, Bridges and the claimed victim had a physical altercation on Tuesday that required medical care.

Before the police could come, Bridges took off, but he later brought himself up on Wednesday.

He was given a $130,000 bail and charged with felony domestic violence.

On Thursday, Johnson said that “from being choked till I went to sleep,” she had shattered her nose, wrist, eardrum, and neck muscles.

She shared pictures of her bloodied eardrum, bruised fingers, legs, and back, as well as her swelling nose and other injuries.

I hate that it has come to this, but I can’t remain silent any longer, Johnson, who has two young children with Bridges, wrote in a letter.

I’ve given someone the freedom to wreck my house, physically and verbally abuse me, and permanently traumatize our children.

I don’t have anything to prove to the world, but I won’t let somebody who could commit such a heinous act do it without feeling regret and portray me as something I’m not.

I won’t let the individuals around him continue to quiet me and to tell lies in order to keep this person safe. It’s immoral, unethical, and simply ill.

It pains my heart because I’ve always had hope and so much love, but even though it’s scary for me to do this, it’s time I stand up for myself, she continued.

I won’t keep quiet any longer to protect others because I cherish my children and I more than anyone’s “image,” I had a serious concussion, a fractured nose, wrist, damaged eardrum, and muscles in my neck from being suffocated till I fell asleep.

I don’t need sympathy, Johnson continued. I just want to stop this from happening to anyone else. My kids deserve better, so I just want this individual to get assistance.

That is all I want for. Everything hurts, this scenario aches, but most of all I’m afraid and hurting for my kids who saw everything.

Bridges and Johnson have two young children together and have been dating since 2016. Despite the fact that the public is unaware of their wedding date, they are reportedly wedded.

Bridges, the 12th overall choice in the 2018 NBA Draft, has spent his whole career with the Charlotte Hornets, but at 6 p.m. on Thursday, he will become a free agency.

NBA teams can start talking with free agents on Friday, but they can’t sign them until July 6 at 12:01 p.m. ET.

On the same day the Hornets revealed they had extended a qualifying offer to the former Michigan State star.

Bridges turned himself in to police on Wednesday.

Bridges has had a turbulent few of months.

Bridges attempted to hurl his mouth guard at a male heckler in April after being kicked out of a game in Atlanta for yelling at officials, but instead unintentionally hit a 16-year-old female fan in the face.

When he later spoke to the media, Bridges expressed regret.

Bridges claimed, “I was aiming for the person who was screaming at me and it hit a little child.” Therefore, I humbly accept responsibility and find that very unacceptable.

“That’s not like me,” I said. You’ve been around me; I don’t behave or act in such a way. That was totally incorrect.

Bridges shared a picture of a purple beverage and what seemed to be a joint on social media earlier this month.

His supporters immediately accused him of drinking lean, a mixture that often consists of a soft drink or alcohol, cough medication with codeine and promethazine, and both.

Later, he refuted the charge by claiming it was “pink lemonade.”
