On Sunday, Patrick Mahomes’ high-ankle sprain could be advantageous for the Chiefs. According to former NFL quarterback Michael Vick, this is the case.

Vick, a four-time Pro Bowler who played in the NFL for thirteen years, stated this week that injuries helped him stay more committed than he would have otherwise.

Vick stated in an interview with TMZ Sports, “I know this because I played at a high level and against high-level competition.” “Sometimes, when you’re injured, you’re a bit more concentrated. A tad bit more accurate. Because you realize you can’t really deviate from the script.”

Andy Reid, head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, revealed on Friday that Patrick Mahomes will start as quarterback in Sunday’s AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Last Saturday, Mahomes sustained the injury against the Jaguars in the divisional round. Although many have questioned his fitness leading up to Sunday, the former NFL MVP has appeared to be in good health.

Thursday, Mahomes stated, “Obviously, I feel like I can still do a lot of things.” The only thing I can do is prepare myself in the best manner possible, and then when we get into the game, you hope adrenaline takes over and you can make those throws when they are necessary.

The Chiefs are home favorites by 1 1/2 points against the Bengals.
