On Christmas Day, a man wearing only his underwear was seen confronting a gang of men on a suburban street as they attempted to steal from a residence.
Monday morning surveillance film shows a man in Mermaid Waters, on the Gold Coast, chasing after a group of men fleeing an attempted robbery.
The video depicts two males, one of whom has a shirt wrapped around his head to conceal his face, rushing towards two parked automobiles while a vigilante pursues them.
The resident, who was only wearing underwear, managed to snag one of the alleged robbers’ shirts as he struggled to escape.
On Boxing Day, a hero wearing briefs was captured on camera pursuing would-be robbers in the Gold Coast.
Two of the would-be robbers raced to the help of their partner, with one wielding a bat at the vigilante, who successfully knocks him away.
The kidnapped thief eventually frees himself from the man’s grip and flees before the group of five thieves manage to getaway in their cars.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman stated that officers were dispatched to a home on Hood Court at approximately 4:40 a.m. in response to reports that two males had unlawfully entered two vehicles.
The spokesman stated that a 50-year-old male occupant of the home disturbed the couple.
Two other males then challenged the man with a baseball bat and a knife, leading to a violent struggle in which the man got a minor cut to his hand.
The spokesperson reported that the five suspects fled the area in a silver BMW X4 and a white Mazda CX-3.
This morning, the BMW was reported stolen from a Helensvale house.
The Mazda has not yet been reported as stolen.
The investigation continues.
