Men who attacked teens in Maselspoort are still staying at the resort

A few days after an alleged racist incident at the Maselspoort Resort outside Bloemfontein in the Free State, it has come to light that the two white men accused of beating young black lads are still residing there.

Following the incident, there was tremendous outrage, notably from the government and political parties, who requested that the resort take strict action against the alleged culprits.

The Maselspoort Resort has responded to allegations that only white individuals were permitted at its swimming pool. Nick Mitchell, the resort’s manager, claims that the facility prohibits discrimination and racism.

“The cops are currently managing the matter. As noted, a police investigation has been initiated against the people implicated,” added Mitchell.

According to the father of one of the black lads, the resort told the teens they were not residents and that they were not permitted to swim there. However, he argues that they were residents with the right to utilize the resort’s facilities.

“My sister and I went there to check on the children, and when we there, those white people informed us that there had been a misunderstanding with the children. They believed they were not Maselspoort inhabitants because the swimming pool is accessible only to residents, despite the fact that the children informed them that we are residents. I also told them that we are local residents who have paid the same amount as they have, the father stated.
