King Charles barred Meghan Markle from Balmoral while Queen Elizabeth lay dying last year, Prince Harry revealed in his explosive new biography, “Spare.”
Harry instantly defended Markle, warning his father, “Don’t ever speak about my wife in such a manner again,” according to reports on the book, which was prematurely published in Spain.
“Charles told Harry that Meghan’s presence at Balmoral during such a deeply sad time was inappropriate,” an insider told the Daily Mail.
‘It was pointed out to him that Kate [Middleton] was not going and that the numbers really should be confined to the very closest family.”
In September, Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, were in London when the Queen’s health suddenly declined in Balmoral, her Scottish residence.
According to his memoir, Harry swiftly defended Markle, telling his father, “Don’t ever speak like that about my wife.”
Saturday’s Daily Mail stated that many senior royals, including Prince William, Andrew, Edward, and his wife Sophie, immediately began making plans to fly to Balmoral.
Approximately 90 minutes after Buckingham Palace disclosed the Queen’s illness, a representative for Harry and Meghan stated that they would both be flying to Scotland. However, hours later, it was clarified that Harry would be traveling alone.

Harry writes in his book that his father instructed him not to bring Meghan during this time frame. Harry then traveled a private plane to Scotland, where he arrived after the death of the queen.
In addition, Harry says in “Spare” that he learnt of the Queen’s death after checking the BBC news website.
