On Sunday, Megan Hilty’s family perished in a plane crash near Seattle.
The plane disaster on Puget Sound on Whidbey Island claimed the lives of ten people, including Hilty’s sister Lauren, her boyfriend Ross Mickel, and their child Remy.
According to TMZ, Lauren was reportedly pregnant with a son who was to be named Luca.
The cause of the disaster is presently unknown, and only one body has been recovered.

Mickel (seen with his daughter Lyla) passed away. He operated a winery company.
Sunday, a plane carrying 10 people crashed into Puget Sound at Whidbey Island, close to Seattle, killing everyone on board.
Sunday, locals began boarding their boats to aid the disaster until the US Coast Guard arrived, according to King 5.
A beachgoer told King 5 that it was likely 40 minutes before their arrival. They coached us on what to do [as they approached]. Search for survivors and seize what we could in order to, essentially, search for survivors.
When the anonymous beachgoers got on the site, almost one mile away, ‘everything had already sunk.’
“It was too late,” he told the news source.
Aside from a logbook, a few shoes, floating plane parts, and the body of one of the female passengers, the beachgoers aiding the wreckage did not find much.
The man informed King 5 there was nothing unharmed.
One body has been recovered, and the cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
Megan Hilty’s sister Lauren Hilty, her boyfriend Ross Mickel, and their child Remy are among the deceased. Apparently, Lauren was pregnant.
Since 1999, Mickel had owned the wine company Ross Andrew Wineries.
His family released the following statement to King 5: ‘We are beyond crushed by the loss of our beloved Ross Mickel, Lauren Hilty, Remy, and their unborn son, Luca. Our collective pain is incomprehensible.
In the lives of everyone who knew them, they were a brilliant and sparkling light. Although their time with us was brief, we shall continue their legacy.
The Washington State Wine Commission also issued a statement, stating, “We are extremely grieved by the news concerning Ross Mickel and his family.” Ross had a tremendous impact on the Washington wine industry, and he will be sorely missed. Our sympathies are with his family as they endure this really difficult moment.
