Mark Buddle’s girlfriend is detained in Turkey

The beautiful ex-girlfriend of wanted bikie chief Mark Buddle is still being held captive in a Turkish jail facility, and no one knows when she will be freed.

On July 22, Mel Ter Wisscha attempted to depart a resort in the beach town of Bodrum but was stopped due to a visa problem.

Despite the fact that the former cheerleader has not been charged with a crime, Australian Consulate staff members are still unable to visit her.

Prior to her detention, Ms. Ter Wisscha was spotted enjoying the amenities of Turkey’s $11,000 per night D Maris Bay Resort and modelling accessories.

She also said that she had broken up with Buddle, 44, who had been secretly detained in Cyprus on July 9 and subsequently moved to a Turkish jail.

Early in August, Comanchero chief Buddle was deported to Australia, but Ms. Ter Wisscha’s situation has not changed.

Donna, Mel’s mother, told The Daily Telegraph that the consulate was able to speak with her daughter over the phone but has not yet been allowed to see her in person.

Mel is receiving good care at the detention facility, and we are making every effort to get her release, but the only thing we can do is wait.

“I am in Dubai taking care of her two healthy children.” Unfortunately, we don’t have any further details.

I’m not furious; I’m simply worried. My primary worry is for her wellbeing as well as the welfare of my grandkids, and we all want want this problem to be handled as soon as possible.

The Australian Embassy in Ankara’s consular personnel is collaborating with Turkish authorities to provide consular support to an Australian lady imprisoned in Turkey, according to a statement from DFAT.

“We are enlisting her legal counsel and requesting access for consular visits.” We are unable to provide further information due to our responsibility to protect your privacy.

About four kilometres east of Bodrum, in the neighbourhood of Bitez, was where Ms. Ter Wisscha had been residing.

The affluent residential community of Bitez is home to opulent houses and well-liked beaches.

Ms. Ter Wisscha was interrogated before being sent to a prison facility in southwest Turkey.

Armed guards are posted around the perimeter of the facility, which houses adults, women, children, and persons with disabilities. It can accommodate 88 prisoners.

The Comanchero boss and Ms Ter Wisscha relocated to Dubai in 2016 with their two children when the bikie came under fire from Australian authorities.

But Ms. Ter Wisscha said that after five years spent together in the United Arab Emirates, the pair parted ways in July 2021 when she relocated to Bodrum in Turkey and he travelled to Northern Cyprus.

It’s been a year since I last saw Mark. My children’s father is him. They see him, I don’t,” Ms. Ter Wisscha said in an interview with The Daily Telegraph.

I am still in Turkey.

“My kids have been to and from (Northern Cyprus), but I haven’t,” the speaker said.

After being extradited from Turkey and transported to Victoria to face accusations for allegedly transporting cocaine worth $40 million, Buddle is now being held under under guard in jail.
