On Tuesday afternoon, a man was shot in a vehicle on the West Seattle Bridge, prompting detectives to launch an investigation.
Tuesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m., the driver of a vehicle called 911 to report that her passenger had been shot and injured. On the West Seattle Bridge, officers contacted the driver and male victim and rendered treatment until Seattle Fire Department medics carried the man to Harborview Medical Center.
According to witnesses, a suspect in a silver or gray vehicle fired onto the victim’s vehicle, injuring him in the shoulder. The criminal then fled. Officers conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspicious car. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit is conducting an investigation.
