Man dubbed ‘The Gimp Man of Essex’ returns to the streets of Colchester after going viral during the pandemic

A guy known as “The Gimp Man of Essex” has returned to Colchester’s streets after becoming famous during the epidemic.

The Gimp Man of Essex became famous during the Covid-19 outbreak after posting videos of himself shopping in the gimp outfit at Tesco.

The Gimp Man of Essex, who now goes by the internet alias Robert Jubbly, wants to raise £1,000 for the Mind charity in mid- and north-east Essex.

Jubbly can be seen on footage moving around Long Wyre Street in the heart of the town while wearing the skin-hugging rubber costume, presumably unaware of the passing shoppers.

The Gimp Man said: 'I'm a normal guy who just likes wearing the suit. It's a bit of an escape for me'Jubbly promotes taking photos, whether it is a covert photo or a direct selfie.

He claims that he doesn’t do this to frighten people, he “doesn’t bite,” and he “doesn’t break any laws”; rather, he does it for entertainment and to draw attention.

I’m a regular man who just enjoys donning the outfit, Jubbly stated. I use it as a small kind of escape.

He said that while serving as The Gimp Man of Essex, he had donated about £3,000 to neighborhood mental health organizations.

Every time someone uploads a picture of Gimp Man from his wanderings around the neighborhood online, he gives a pound to the cause.

He later explained that nobody in his personal life knows about his escapades and feels like he’s ‘on thin ice’, especially with his online posts.

Gimp Man expressed his ferocious hostility and rage at the gimp-suit-wearing individual who, in 2019, terrorized a woman in the village of Claverham at night and has since returned.

He claimed to be a “excellent judge of character” and to be aware of people being uncomfortable with what he does in public. He stated he joyfully avoids those who seem uncomfortable.

Jubbly further mentioned that he leaves the house during school hours to avoid any awkward situations with being spotted by children.

He explained that ’99 percent of people have a positive reaction’, meaning The Gimp Man will continue to roam the streets of Essex in the tight-fitting suit and keep on trying to raise cash for charity.

It comes as a latex-clad weirdo terrified a 19-year-old and her boyfriend in a late-night encounter in their Somerset village.

Kiera Elston was walking home in the village of Yatton at around 1am on Sunday, June 26, when her boyfriend Lewis Webb noticed a masked man dressed in a gimp suit in the road.

The pair were left terrified by the creepy occurrence and ran away to get away from the bizarre man, who Kiera says looked ‘proud’ with his arms outstretched.

The spooky sighting has prompted fears it is the same ‘Gimp Man’ who has terrorised sleepy villages in the West Country over the last few years.

There have been suspected sightings of the man the nearby village of Claverham in last year and 2019, with police searches for the person responsible coming up empty, with two people who were arrested later released without being charged.

One person who was targeted in July 2019 even managed to get a picture of him, showing him dressed in an all-black latex suit, with a mask covering his entire face.
