Inspector Gary Allen, responsible for Bromley town centre for the Metropolitan Police, confirmed that a suspect was quickly apprehended in relation to the criminal damage to the planters.
The man allegedly recorded himself causing harm to the floral exhibits, which were part of a primary school gardening project.
A spokesperson for the Met Police gave reassurance to the local LGBTQ+ community, stating their commitment to treating any such incident with the utmost seriousness.
They further clarified that the display was swiftly restored and remains available for public appreciation.
